Banteay Chhmar temple

The tour will take you to visit the enormous complex whose description has largely depicted daily life of Cambodia. The amazing well-preserved wall carvings are comparable with the Bayon style tower, walls and enclosures cloaked with vegetation. Constructed in the late 12th century, the citadel is set amongst jungle overgrowth, which offers fabulous sights of stone being consumed by nature. You may have a chance to visit the local market in Banteay Chhmar, experience some typical Khmer village activities and visit the local rural Cambodian schools.
