Kompong Kleang Floating and Stilted House Communities

Kompong Khleang is the largest stilted village community on the Tonle Sap lake. Over 20,000 residents live in stilted houses several metres above the water and go about their daily lives on the lake, living in harmony with their beautiful aquatic ecosystem.Kompong Khleang is actually ten times larger than Kompnong Phruk yet its more remote location ensures that fewer tourists visit the area. This provides a perfect opportunity to see the daily lives of fishermen, boatmakers and villagers in an authentic, traditional setting.
